We had the most AHHHHH-MAZING spring break we are so psyched for summer for 2022 surf camps! This week we had some of our best waves of the year so far! Summer is looking grrrrrrrrrreat! Yewwwwwwwwwwww!

Today was an amazing day to really kick off our spring break. We had an amazing crew and Surf Instructors Sage, Summer, Michael, Robbie and Ryan led an incredible 10:30 lesson with a crew full sending from the outside waves at the end of the lesson! We also had a pack of 8 year olds that were straight up handling their business and throwing dabs at the end. What a lesson! The time is now to learn to surf! We’ve been having just EPIC weather for our surf lessons this last week. Here is Ryan on a surf lesson with Carol who absolutely slayed the waves! Yewwwwwwww!!!!!!

Today we headed out this morning for our early early learn to surf 8:30-10:30 group lesson and the waves were GREAT! Jiewei, Ruiqi and Shengnan visiting California’s Central Coast from Denmark found our surf school through our Airbnb Experience offering and were stoked! Coincidentally, it’s only 60 ft from our front door at Sandbar Surf Company! If it’s farm-to-table freshness or a brilliant wine list, the Spoon Trade has what you’re looking for. The palate cheers for dishes like the House Fried Bologna, noodle dishes like the Smoked Pork Belly Ramen, Market Fresh Halibut (I swear it was the best halibut i’ve had in my LIFE) and literally the fluffiest, lightest most well balanced Basque Style Cheesecake (and believe me I know my cheesecake), you just can’t miss. Owners Jacob and Brooke have put down a A+ product and we are proud to have them nearby. It’s a special occasion (like celebrating some victorious surf lessons!) to go to The Spoon Trade. Mmmmmmm hmmmm.

We’ve had a fantastic week of rolling waves, easy breezes and great sunshine! Our beginner “learn to surf” crew from Canada this last week got stoked on some February fun.

This year we are really excited. The wave of 2022 is going to be big and is begging for us to surf it and hold on for the ride. Surfing got a HUGE boost of popularity due to many things being shut down in the past few years and all of us at Sandbar Surf are SUPER excited to meet all of the new surfers of 2022. With the Olympics giving a monster push as well as surfing being the COOLEST sport known….(we’re not biased or anything) We are confident that this is going to be the year of all years to get surfing. And who better to learn to surf with than none other than us, the tribe at Sandbar Surf. We look forward to sharing waves with all of you soon!

Today we had a really awesome session with some 3 to 4 footers perfect size for our crew to get to the outside. It’s been big all week so this was a great day, graduation day! Mason, Jagger and Hazard take a bow! Surf Instructor Daniel at the helm of this mighty crew of locals today who were also taught by Theresa, Sage, Ryan & Jake as well.
